Privacy principles

Your data is yours.

These rules apply to every Ripehand app. They are how we design, not just what we promise. Each app also has its own privacy policy with the exact details.

1. On your device first

If a feature can run on your iPhone, it runs on your iPhone. Text recognition, translation, and smart features use Apple's on-device frameworks whenever possible. Nothing leaves your phone unless a feature truly needs a server, and we tell you when it does.

2. Analytics only if you agree

Usage analytics are off by default. If you choose to turn them on, we collect simple, anonymous counts (for example, "a word was saved") to improve the app. We never record what you type, read, or save. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings.

3. We never sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We do not use advertising networks, ad tracking, or data brokers. We do not ask to track you across other apps.

4. Collect less, keep less

  • No account is needed to use the core of an app.
  • If a feature needs data on our server, we keep only what it needs and delete it when it is no longer needed.
  • Your purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your card details.

5. Our own server, few third parties

When an app needs a server (for example, to check a subscription or to sync), it uses our own server. When we must use an outside service, each app's privacy policy names it and says why.

6. You stay in control

  • You can export your data from the app, where the app stores data you created.
  • You can ask us to delete anything we hold about you by writing to [email protected].
  • Permissions such as Camera or Photos are asked for only when you use the feature that needs them.

7. Honest labels

Our App Store privacy labels match what the app really does. If an app changes how it uses data, we update the label and the privacy policy, and we say so in the release notes.

These principles describe how Ripehand builds apps. The binding terms for each app are in that app's privacy policy, linked from the app and its App Store page.
